Gino Caviezel won first round in giant slalom in Solden

The first round of the giant men’s slalom in Solden, Austria, was won by the Swiss national team member Gino Caviezel.
The younger of the Caviezel brothers has an excellent starting position to win his first podium position in his career. Several experienced skiers are breathing on his back. Time intervals are minimal, which adds to the drama of the second round. Slovenian Zan Kranjec loses 5 hundredths of a second to the front, Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen 10. The defender of the big globe, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, did not manage one of the turns and he dropped out of the race.
